This silver chain mail bracelet is without doubt a timeless piece of jewellery. A simple rope pattern with a rich detailed surface texture akin to a knitted fabric.

Chain mail is a traditional jewellery technique in which I hand make and link hundreds of identical silver rings in a variety of ways. The form of this piece is a round and hollow tube where the polished surfaces of individual rings contribute to the complex repeating patterns of light and shade. Five links per row.

Sterling silver. Hallmarked Edinburgh.

Fittings

This is a slip on flexible bracelet without need for a separate catch. It should fit tightly over the widest part of the hand and roll across the knuckles onto the wrist. Internal length 180mm would be expected to fit a medium hand. I can make adjustments by adding or subtracting rings.
