I have  enjoyed drawing  all my life but the struggle of reducing three dimensions onto a flat piece of paper often left me feeling a little disappointed. When I discovered I could draw in three dimensions with wire I was satisfied. My method of compressing and sewing wire into shape allows me to experiment and find the character and movement of each animal  as work progresses. When the form is right I can see it. When the form is wrong I can change it. At some unknown point the work acquires an independent life of its own and I put it down. Finished.
